In an effort to follow the school mandate to “Reach Beyond,” Mrs. Rita Knight challenged her 4th grade homeroom to provide Bibles for our soldiers this Christmas. She talked with her students about how little is much when God is involved and if they would be willing to give what little they have, God would multiply it just as He did with the little boy who gave Jesus his fish and bread and it was used to feed thousands. These students responded and in two weeks brought in $660 to buy 132 Bibles for our soldiers for Christmas.
The money collected from the students was prayed over daily during the two week time of raising these funds. They also prayed diligently for the safety and salvation of these brave men and women who serve our country. To give them a sense of home the students also made homemade Christmas card for the soldiers, thanking them for their service to our country and wishing them a Merry Christmas.
