Stephanie Miller was a rodeo competitor and is now a radio personality in Laurens County, she shared her experiences of overcoming adversity and pursuing her dreams. The head football coach for the GSU Eagles, Tyson Summers, explained his philosophy of tough love and hard work as essential to become a strong leader. Tom Graves, the Congressman for Georgia’s 14th District, spoke on “taking the me out of mediocrity” as he provided several practical suggestions for effective leadership. US Representative Rick Allen encouraged the speakers and the students throughout the meeting and he led this quality event as an excellent opportunity for high school students to hear great advice for becoming leaders in their schools and communities.
