Vidalia Heritage Academy students know that slavery still exists today through human trafficking around the world and in the United States. In order to “Reach Beyond” just being aware that there are over 27 million (prostitution and labor) slaves presently being exploited, the students and staff at the Upper School decided to make a difference. They agreed to wear ropes binding their wrists all day in order to experience the cruelty of bondage, and they collected over $200 to donate to theWellspring Living ministry, which helps young women in the Atlanta area to escape exploitation in the sex trade. This is the third year that VHA has made the “In it to End it” movement a priority of understanding the problem and doing something practical about modern day slavery. Soli Deo Gloria.
